Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

ICU Float Pool RN

Shift: Nights 19:00–07:30. Schedule options: 36- or 48-hour shifts available. Weekend requirement: At least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period. No RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment.

Contract length: Not specified. Must pass EKG exam on the first day to continue with the contract.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California at the time of submission.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with experience from a large 400+ bed facility.
• Recent large hospital (tertiary/acute) experience; transplant experience preferred.
• Swan-Ganz (Pulmonary artery line) experience is required.
• References: 2 supervisor references from within the past year required at the time of submission.
• Charting experience with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level critical care to adult patients, including those with respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, and multisystem organ failure.
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, and chest tubes.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation or paralytics.
• Perform blood product administration and interpret ABGs.
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias.

Flu vaccination is required (no exemptions). Background/license issues require written explanation. Any previous permanent employees must comply with facility separation rules.
