Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, within a home care setting, allowing the Physical Therapist to work directly in patients' homes where they feel most comfortable. This unique position enhances the therapeutic relationship, providing personalized treatment plans to address individual needs. Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a balanced work-life experience while ensuring that our team is available during peak therapy times.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and regular reassessments of patients according to established clinical guidelines and state regulations.
• Evaluate patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities to set realistic improvement goals tailored to each individual.
• Design, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans based on ongoing assessments, ensuring they appropriately reflect clinical findings and patient feedback.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and techniques, including exercise prescriptions, manual therapy, and patient education, to facilitate optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes following the facility's protocols for medical documentation.
• Engage in continuous learning by attending workshops, participating in professional development opportunities, and reviewing relevant literature to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and update treatment strategies as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, reinforcing safety and health standards within the clinical setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at PT Plus, you'll work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. The role requires a compassionate approach as you help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through personalized rehabilitation. You will provide care that respects the individual needs and conditions of each patient, fostering a supportive atmosphere for recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED readiness.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience providing physical therapy services.
• A strong sense of empathy and the ability to motivate patients in a safe, responsible manner.
• Thorough knowledge of physical therapy practices, facility equipment, and safety protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with innovative therapy techniques and technology to improve patient outcomes.
• A record of collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
