The nurse will provide care to medical surgical and surgical oncology patients. The unit is capable of maintaining twenty-four-hour cardiac telemetry monitoring. The position requires candidates to have basic life support certification. Candidates must have experience in medical/surgical nursing. Chemotherapy certification is preferred, as administration may be required. The typical patient ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients. An outgoing and team-oriented personality is ideal for fitting into the unit's culture. Scrub color is navy. The unit has won awards for excellence in patient care. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical skills and adaptability.
