Required Skills / Certifications / Experience Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Traveler Experience: Open to 1st time travelers Skills: Inpatient setting, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac Certifications: ONC Certification, BLS Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience CPI Charge nurse experience OCN Job Details Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history Target Ratios: 1:6 Shift: NIGHTS Contract Length: 13-26 weeks Call Requirement: Required if called off on a prescheduled shift Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required Participation in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events Patient Diagnoses: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population, including AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
