Supervisor, Safekeeping Full Time Professional DT-Downtown, Los Angeles, CA, US 12 days ago Requisition ID: 1354 Salary Range: $21.64 To $24.04 Hourly Job Summary: The Chrysalis Safekeeping Program encompasses all of CE’s Personal Property Safe Storage Locations and Housekeeping Contracts. The Safekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the successful day-to-day operations at their respective worksite. In addition, this position manages and works alongside CE’s transitional client employees, completing the scope of work and providing professional feedback through a trauma-informed lens. The Safekeeping Supervisor acts as the first point of contact for all Safekeeping customers. At times, this position may be called on to support other CE Employment Social Enterprise teams (i.e., Works, Roads) in a supervisory capacity. Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Operational Effectiveness & Customer Service Perform respective site’s necessary duties (i.e., housekeeping, property storage operations). Provide exemplary customer service through professional written and verbal communication. Ensure all customer needs are met according to contractual agreements. Ensure that all safety procedures are up-to-date and consistently applied in all aspects of operations. Communicate with colleagues, customers, employees, stakeholders, business owners, property owners, residents, pedestrians with tact and diplomacy. Handle all requests and complaints in an immediate and professional manner. When necessary, seek help from Safekeeping Management to correct situations as they arise. Communicate all transitional client employee and work-related issues to CE Office Staff when applicable. Consult with Safekeeping Management to ensure that all labor laws, regulations, and company policies are properly followed and enforced. Supervise transitional employees on a daily basis to ensure that the scope of work is being executed in a professional and timely manner. Validate and approve transitional employee timecards for payroll purposes. Perform quality inspections as assigned and immediately report any hazards or deficiencies. Check contract supply inventory regularly and make supply requests in a timely manner. Attend and participate in monthly meetings, one-on-ones and other trainings as assigned. Assist with street or highway maintenance duties within the Works and Roads Teams as needed. Employee Training & Mentorship Train employees on job duties, proper uniform, proper use of equipment, safety, and other pertinent areas for each assigned contract through regular debriefs. Act as a mentor to transitional employees by coaching and recognizing them on their performance. Deliver professional feedback to transitional employees in trauma-informed manner. General Duties Adhere to all Chrysalis policies and procedures. Support the Chrysalis Mission, Vision, and Values. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Interest in, experience working with, and sensitivity toward the Chrysalis client population, including the re-entry community. A willingness and desire to mentor the client employee population and support the transitional jobs program. Maintain confidential information and exercise discretion. Successful work experience with CE with progressively increasing levels of responsibility. Strong leadership and communication skills. Demonstrated high levels of quality assurance and professionalism. Excellent organization and time management skills. Self-starter with “can do” attitude and takes initiative. Willingness to learn to and consistently use tablet and/or computer for day-to-day operational needs. Ability to work flexible schedule (including mornings, nights, and weekends). Have a valid Class C California driver’s license and the ability to qualify for Chrysalis Enterprises insurance coverage. Ability to pick up, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and work on foot throughout shift.
