Continuous Improvement Manager

Work Model This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. Scope of Leadership Role Regal Rexnord is seeking an RBS Manager for our Canal location. This plant is a 100‑million‑dollar business, with 155 associates. The role is critical to drive growth‑focused operations strategy and provide hands‑on leadership to a cross‑functional team. The site RBS Leader drives operational excellence for the site, supporting achievement of SQDC (safety, quality, delivery, cost‑competitiveness) through the Regal Business System framework, tools and methodologies to drive top‑line revenue growth and bottom‑line profitability. Key Responsibilities Partner with the EHS manager to maintain a safe work environment, compliant with all regulations, and drive focus on leading environmental health and safety metrics and continuous improvement initiatives that promote safety. With the leadership team, partner to understand the current site business objectives and financial targets, develop a vision for the site's future operational/growth needs and implement a plan to achieve those outcomes. Provide subject‑matter expertise across the organization by partnering with functional, business and site leaders to assess current processes and identify process/performance gaps and improvement opportunities. Lead and implement process improvement across the value stream to drive SQDCG measures utilizing lean concepts such as 5S, flow, standard work, tools/materials at point of use and visual management, single best piece flow, replenishment systems, transactional process improvement techniques, defect reduction and effective daily management. Manage a robust Regal Business System review process for selecting, scoping and prioritizing improvement initiatives (policy deployment, CI roadmap, kaizens, projects and CI talent) to achieve goals. Recognized as a leader with the ability to identify, diagnose and solve even the most complex business problems utilizing a fact‑based, team‑oriented and structured approach. Coach, mentor, and train site/functional members on continuous improvement methods based on subject‑matter expertise. Drive and exemplify a positive attitude in the face of adversity to solve problems and align a team around effective problem solving. Skilled and experienced in decomposing a strategic vision into actionable strategies and tactics, serving as a vital resource and coach for guiding process improvement and Regal Business System deployment across the business. Lead and exemplify the culture of continuous improvement across the organization, engaging, coaching and communicating with all levels of the organization to energize and progress in long‑term improvement actions while meeting today’s business performance needs. Balance strategy and tactics, helping the organization evolve and achieve its growth ambitions, and act as a member of the leadership team to develop and communicate a future vision for the business. Analyze and assess business metrics (SQDCG and financials) and processes across the business to develop impactful improvement strategies. Identify, coach and engage talent across the business to leverage RBS continuous improvement tools and methodologies to support professional advancement and improve operational performance. Optimize talent within the organizational structure and foster an environment to promote individual and team growth, training, mentoring and building continuous improvement skill and philosophy across the organization. Know what good looks like and have the ability to coach and develop a team. Professional Experience / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related technical field, or a combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years related work experience. Proven successful applications of multiple CI tools: 80/20, value stream mapping, 6S, flow, standard work, visual management, and problem solving. Ability to lead and teach a site with a bias for action and a say‑do mindset. Critical thinking skills to properly identify problem areas and potential solutions. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Lean deployment experience. Industrial industry experience. Knowledge of continuous improvement/Regal Business System tools.
