Make a meaningful impact by providing support as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant elementary setting serving 1st and 2nd grade students. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a caseload of 12 learners, each with unique strengths and needs—including those with Developmental Delay, Specific Learning Disability, and Other Health Impairments. You’ll play a central role in promoting an inclusive environment and ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive. The assignment includes 6.5 paid hours per day with a dedicated half-hour lunch break.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Special Education teaching credential/certification appropriate for grades 1–2
• Experience supporting students with developmental delays, specific learning disabilities, and health impairments
• Familiarity with inclusion models and differentiated instruction strategies
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Understanding of IEP writing, implementation, and compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality special education services within general education classrooms as an inclusion teacher
• At times, provide pull-out services for targeted interventions as determined by IEP goals
• Adapt lessons and materials to address diverse learning needs and support student access to curriculum
• Collaborate in team meetings, contribute to IEP development, and monitor student progress
• Maintain detailed documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture focused on student growth
