Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU Float

Job Description We are hiring a PreOP/PACU Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services Float Pool team. In this position you will work with various conditions, procedures, and acuity levels at our Plaza location, a Magnet Level 1 Trauma Academic Medical Center. Shift Details This position involves 4–10 hour shifts weekly with a rotating bi‑weekly template. Scheduled locations are decided 4–6 weeks in advance and may include SaintLuke’s Hospital, SaintLuke’s East, SaintLuke’s North, and SaintLuke’s South. Work / Responsibilities Functions independently and is accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team. Delegates tasks appropriately. Identifies hospital resources. Serves as a clinical resource for new employees. Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department. Job Requirements 2 years of experience in PreOP/PACU nursing. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Registered Nurse license in Kansas and Missouri (National Council of State Boards of Nursing, NURSYS). Associate Degree in Nursing.
