Job Overview Provide professional nursing care and make appropriate nursing care decisions for labor and delivery patients using the nursing process. Collaborate with other health care professionals to meet patient needs and adhere to CVMC departmental policies, procedures, and philosophy. Practice within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act and the CVMC Nursing Bylaws. Requirements Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current NC RN license or licensure from the Nursing Compact State. BCLS certification (AHA required; if not from AHA, obtain AHA certification within three months). ACLS and NRP certifications within three months of employment date. Work Experience No previous experience required; should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job and able to assume call responsibilities after orientation.
