Job Description

Parts Inspector – Quality Assurance (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Davenport, IA
Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Weekends!)
Openings: 3 total (2 on 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 1 on 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00/hr (Based on experience) | Paid weekly + Overtime potential
Raises: Performance and pay evaluation after 3 months
PTO: Earn day-one; eligible to use on Day 60
Benefits: Supplemental healthcare benefits available

Position Overview

Ensure high-precision cutting tools meet strict engineering and dimensional specifications. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to work with very small tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

Precision Measurement: Use calipers, micrometers, gages, and rulers to verify dimensions against engineering prints.
Quality Testing: Inspect raw materials and finished products (e.g., drill bits) for microscopic defects or irregularities.
Defect Management: Identify and reject non-conforming products; recommend items for rework or scrap.
Documentation: Log and track inspection data to provide feedback to production and engineering teams.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Previous QA/inspection experience preferred (willing to train mechanically inclined candidates).
Skills: Excellent vision, sharp attention to detail, and comfort reading small measurements.
Reliability: Proven track record of job longevity; must provide an updated resume.
Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
