Locum - Physician - Anesthesiology - Pediatric Dayton, OH

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a qualified Locum Anesthesiologist to provide coverage from August 10 to November 16, 2026, due to maternity leave. This is a hospital-based position within the operating rooms of a prestigious ACS Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring the ability to manage neonatal to adult patients in a busy surgical environment. The role involves supervising CRNAs and managing a high volume of surgical cases daily.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 07:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No call responsibilities

Case Load:

• Approximately 50-60 surgical cases per day
• No pain management cases expected

Responsibilities:

• Supervise CRNAs, practicing both independently and as part of a care team
• Prepare anesthesia carts (not required)
• Manage patients from neonatal to adult demographic

Facility Details:

• Collegial team including RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, and APPs
• 14 operating rooms, accommodating high surgical volume and trauma cases
• Annual ER volume of around 70,000

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current, valid anesthesia license and DEA registration
• CAQH login preferred
• Must provide DOB, SSN, home address, cell phone, and credentials (e.g., life certifications) upon acceptance
• Provider must complete immediate credentialing and fingerprinting after acceptance

Travel & Reimbursements:

• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Coverage for rental car, hotel, and flight expenses when applicable
