Physical Therapist Assistant PTA

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) role involves providing skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The PTA supports patient rehabilitation by assisting with therapeutic interventions, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team. This position requires an active license, commitment to a 13 to 26-week assignment, and the ability to work effectively in a clinical setting. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
• Provide patient care in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment.
• Complete required documentation and credentialing processes prior to assignment start.
• Adhere to facility policies including dress code and parking procedures.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license valid for the state of Washington (Compact License accepted).
• Experience in physical therapy settings, with less than 1 year acceptable.
• Ability to complete credentialing and quality assurance requirements.
• Commitment to a 13 to 26-week assignment period.
• Basic communication and documentation skills.
• Availability to work day shifts with a 40-hour workweek.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Previous experience working with ATI or similar healthcare staffing agencies.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Special Considerations:

• No on-call duties required.
• Overtime paid at 1.5 times regular rate when applicable.
• Completion bonuses available for contracts signed through the end of September.
• Candidate eligibility restrictions apply for prior ATI employees within one year of separation.
• Parking and dress code details provided on the first day.

Scheduling:

• Day shifts with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek.
• Shift hours and days assigned based on facility needs within the 13 to 26-week commitment.
• Weekly billing cycle.
