Tax Manager

Location : Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid role, 3 days a week onsite)
Salary : $130K-$205K/yr (depending on experience)
Length: Full Time
Our Client is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager for their growing, award-winning, firm. The ideal candidate will have strong generalist tax experience (ex: partnerships, individuals, S & C corps, nonprofits, etc.), as well as strong prep and review experience.
- Busy Season hours: 55 hours a week max
- Summer Friday (day off work)
- Potential to move into a Partner role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns (Partnerships/ S & C Corps/ Individuals/ Nonprofits/ etc.)
- Research complex tax issues and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and consistency.
- Create & maintain strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
- Active CPA is required (alternatively, candidates with an active EA license pursuing their CPA are welcome to apply)
- 5+ years of professional tax experience
- Strong communication and analytical skills
