Role Overview
Stardom Employment Consultants is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the finance function for a valued client. This hands-on role helps ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end and year-end closes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Monitor general ledger activity and investigate variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate audit and tax preparation requests with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and close responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices as it relates to WIP and Job Costing
- Experience with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
