Security Officer Screening Operations – Kansas City, KS – In this role, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will help monitor assigned areas, remain visible, and assist with identifying concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.17 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM; Thur 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM; Fri 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM; Sat 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM. What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items at designated entry points in accordance with location guidelines and security-related procedures. Monitor access points and verify credentials, appointments, and/or delivery information to help support authorized entry into the location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document screening-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
