Licensure/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Post-Acute Care Unit, including stroke, surgical, and general medicine patients
• Monitor and titrate IV medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, and Levophed (manager approval required for titratable meds)
• Assist with chest tube management, tracheostomies, peritoneal dialysis, lumbar drains, and other procedures (preferred but not required)
• Conduct assessments, document patient care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists and therapists
• Support patient safety and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards
• Pass an EKG competency exam prior to start

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

Preferred:

• Experience with titratable IV medications and advanced procedures such as chest tubes and trachs
• Skills in patient assessment and urgent care management in a hospital setting

The unit features a 12-hour night shift schedule working every Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday on a rotating schedule.
