Job Title : Legal Assistant (Medical Records)

Position Overview : As a Legal Assistant at Harris Keenan and Goldfarb, you will play a crucial role in supporting firm operations, completing & organizing trial forms, and providing administrative support during all stages of fast-paced personal injury litigation.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Obtain medical records on behalf of clients.
\n
• Fill out & process HIPAA forms.
\n
• Handle incoming & outgoing mail.
\n
• Assist in processing, paginating, and binding appellate filings.
\n
• Support attorneys and paralegals on document filing and other litigation support tasks.
\n
• Draft and proofread material for spelling & grammatical errors.
\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Undergraduate Degree from accredited university.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Passion for the legal field.
\n
• Proactive, able to work independently.
\n
• Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
\n

\n

Compensation: $40,000-$47,500 per year, plus bonus, commensurate with experience.
