The Senior Project Manager holds full lifecycle responsibility for large, complex mechanical construction projects, from preconstruction planning and budgeting through execution and closeout. This role leads multidisciplinary teams, manages contracts, procurement, scheduling, cost control, and safety compliance, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Senior Project Manager drives financial performance, mitigates risk, negotiates critical contracts, and contributes to business strategy and operational improvements across multiple projects. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on accountability, complexity, and influence at both the project and company level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of assigned mechanical construction projects

• Direct project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and staffing

• Administer contracts, buyout, documentation, and compliance to protect company and client interests

• Lead preconstruction turnover and ensure permits, licenses, and submittals are obtained and maintained

• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes

• Negotiate, execute, and manage subcontract agreements

• Manage billing, cash flow, retention, and collections

• Price, negotiate, and process change conditions and change orders

• Monitor labor productivity, resource loading, and field staffing

• Maintain cost control, forecasting, and overall financial performance

• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices

• Oversee project closeout and support continuous improvement

• Participate in leadership and project management meetings

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 15+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management

• Recognized company leader with broad program and financial responsibility

• Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and resolve high-impact issues

• Demonstrated strategic thinking, sound judgment, and operational leadership

• Expertise managing multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders simultaneously
