Required Skills:

• Valid RN licensure with relevant state certification
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, including stroke or neurological care
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Knowledge of titratable gtts such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval required for experience verification)
• Proficiency in chest tube management, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, and lumbar drains (preferred)
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Telemetry monitoring expertise with cardiac monitor setup and management
• Strong teamwork skills, including collaboration with charge nurses, phlebotomy, RT, hospitalists, and therapy services

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent hospital-based experience in acute or stroke care
• Prior travel nursing experience highly valued, with at least one year since last permanent employment if previously a staff nurse

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work every other weekend, holidays, nights, and varied shifts as scheduled
• Able to work in North and South units with patient ratios: RN 1:3, CNA 1:9
• Successful passing of unit orientation, including 12-hour shifts and specific unit protocols
• Basic scrubs in pewter color; in-house parking provided; traveler-friendly culture
