We're recruiting a Production Team Lead for a growing manufacturer of architectural wood doors in Clinton Township, MI. This is a 1st shift, contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment based on business needs and performance.

Position Details

• Pay: $28.00-$30.00/hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 3:00 PM
• Employment Type: Contract-to-hire
• Opportunity to join a stable, growing non-automotive manufacturer

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of approximately six employees in the final inspection department.
• Assign daily work and help keep production on schedule.
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards before shipment.
• Coach and support employees while maintaining a positive team environment.
• Communicate production priorities and help remove obstacles throughout the day.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools, including Gemba boards, to monitor production and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience as a Production Team Lead, Manufacturing Lead, Group Leader, Shift Lead, or Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and keep production moving efficiently.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Gemba boards is preferred.
