Qualifications & Skills:

• Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in Special Education (PK–8 or equivalent)
• Experience creating individualized learning plans and adaptable instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
• Background using TEACCH, PECS, ABA, or other structured teaching methodologies
• Training in restorative practices, trauma-informed care, or positive behavior supports
• Strong communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support personnel
• Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and assess engaging instruction aligned with IEP goals and therapeutic learning approaches
• Integrate research-based interventions tailored to students with unique behavioral, emotional, and academic needs
• Employ visual schedules, communication supports, and structured physical environments to maximize student engagement and learning outcomes
• Build positive relationships with students and cultivate a sense of trust and belonging
• Model and reinforce restorative, trauma-informed, and positive behavioral strategies to support social-emotional development
• Collaborate with related services staff, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure continuous progress
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
