Position: Security Officer Qualified Patrol Location: Nashville, TN Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 06:30 AM - 05:30 PM Fri: 06:30 AM - 05:30 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support restricted access procedures in accordance with location guidelines. Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or security‑related issues, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency personnel as needed. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
