Structural Steel Detailer

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join our team in Covington, GA. As a Structural Steel Detailer, you will play a crucial role in the design and fabrication of steel structures, ensuring that our projects are executed with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Create detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings for structural steel components. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with specifications. Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop accurate detailing. Utilize CAD software to produce high-quality drawings and models. Coordinate with fabrication teams to address any design-related issues during production. Maintain organized documentation of all detailing work and revisions. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on detailing progress. Generate and manage Bills of Material (BOMs), cut lists, and CNC fabrication files. Review connection designs and coordinate with structural engineers when required. Ensure detailing complies with AISC standards, OSHA requirements, and project specifications. Participate in BIM coordination meetings and model review sessions. Maintain revision control and document management throughout project lifecycle. Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SDS, Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar programs). Proven experience as a Structural Steel Detailer or similar role. Strong understanding of structural steel design and fabrication processes & steelerection sequencing. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to structural steel detailing. Experience reviewing and checking the work of other detailers preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
