Internal Communications Specialist

Our client, a fast-growing national organization in the foodservice industry, is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join their team. With a large and growing employee population, they're looking for someone who can help keep team members informed, connected and engaged through creative, clear and effective internal communications.


This is a hands-on role for someone who can take information from different areas of the business, distill it into what matters and tailor communications for multiple employee audiences.



What You'll Do

• Partner with teams across the organization to understand communication needs and develop multichannel communication plans
  
  
• Turn complex or lengthy information into concise, engaging communications tailored to different audiences
  
  
• Build and publish content within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including creating content and setting up channels
  
  
• Create visually engaging communications and assets using Canva
  
  
• Develop content for email, intranet, newsletters, video, digital signage, surveys, internal events and other channels
  
  
• Manage internal communications and content calendars
  
  
• Write, edit and proofread content to ensure messaging is clear, engaging and consistent
  
  
• Identify communication gaps and develop creative ways to better reach employees
  
  
• Manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years of experience in Internal Communications, Corporate Communications, Copywriting, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
  
  
• Hands-on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint experience - specifically building content and setting up channels, not simply using the platforms
  
  
• Experience using Canva to develop polished visual communications
  
  
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to consolidate information into clear, concise messaging
  
  
• Experience tailoring communications for different audiences and employee groups
  
  
• Strong project management, organization and attention to detail
  
  
• Creative mindset with a strong eye for visual communication
  
  
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Role Details

• Compensation: $30-$36/hr W2 contract
