Job Title: Long Term Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Long Term Care License: License Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience in Long Term Care Description: This position focuses on providing care in a Long Term Care setting with a bed capacity of 26. Nurse will act as charge nurse, pass medications, and perform wound care. Common patient diagnoses include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:10 during the day and 1:19 during the night. There are no IVs or titratable drips involved, and no telemetry monitoring is conducted. The nursing team does not require attendance for team conferences. The facility operates without on-site respiratory therapy or pharmacy services. Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators. The shift schedule does not allow for blocked scheduling or self-scheduling. Weekend requirements are every other weekend, and holiday requirements are every other major holiday. There is no call or standby requirement, and no floating is expected within the role. Dress code is clean and presentable attire without specific color requirements. Unit or department-specific orientation will consist of 2 to 3 shifts. Candidates should reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility. Requests for time off must be submitted upfront, and additional requests will not be approved. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is conducted through a specified system. A BSN is not required for this position.
