The Marketing Director creates meaningful guest experiences, cultivates community partnerships, and leads initiatives that strengthen the Chick-fil-A City Gate brand and drive business growth. This role connects strategy and storytelling, blending creativity with purposeful marketing that reflects our heart to Serve, Develop, and Inspire both inside and beyond our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Brand Growth – Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive sales growth and guest engagement. Maintain Chick-fil-A brand standards and integrity across all platforms. Lead quarterly and annual marketing planning meetings aligned with restaurant goals. Oversee catering marketing and build business-to-business relationships to grow outside sales. Promote mobile app engagement and digital growth through targeted campaigns.
- In-Store Marketing and Operations – Ensure POP (Point of Purchase) materials are up to date and visually excellent. Enhance the dining room experience with fresh, thoughtful details and engaging messaging. Coordinate and promote store events, seasonal promotions, and PR opportunities. Assist with in-store operations as marketing workload permits. Manage social media platforms with community-centered, positive messaging. Lead fun, creative team contests that celebrate our culture and brand.
- Community & School Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with schools, organizations, and local businesses. Manage Spirit Nights, donation requests, and partnership agreements in line with Chick-fil-A's standards. Represent Chick-fil-A City Gate as a trusted community partner and ambassador. Create opportunities for business networking that strengthen community ties.
- Catering & Outside Sales – Support catering initiatives, ensuring smooth coordination and communication with leaders. Maintain marketing materials, supplies, and resources to support catering operations. Attend leadership meetings to align marketing efforts with operational priorities.
- Brand Leadership – Leverage Chick-fil-A's Four Unique Assets — Food, People, Hospitality, and Influence — to create emotional connections. Maintain brand assets such as Cow costumes and ensure creative, on-brand use. Lead with authenticity, modeling our Serve | Develop | Inspire values through your influence and leadership.
Additional Expectations:
- Demonstrates flexibility by performing other duties as assigned to support operations and team success.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Maintains consistent and reliable attendance with dependable transportation.
- Upholds Chick-fil-A City Gate's standards of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree Required
- Experience in marketing, sales, or community relations (restaurant/retail experience preferred).
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Creative and proactive mindset with attention to detail.
- Passion for people, service, and storytelling.
- Willingness to serve at community or evening events as needed.
- Canva experience & Social Media Marketing experience for an entity or organization.
Preferred Attributes:
- Chick-fil-A experience preferred.
