Litigation Paralegal Opportunity
Direct Counsel is partnering with a highly respected and nationally recognized plaintiffs' litigation firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Burlingame office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to launch a career in the legal field and gain hands-on experience working alongside highly regarded attorneys on sophisticated, high-impact litigation matters.
About the Opportunity
The firm handles a diverse range of complex plaintiffs' litigation and is known for taking on high-profile, high-impact cases involving important legal issues and causes. Paralegals have the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team while gaining exposure to a wide variety of litigation matters.
The ideal candidate is intelligent, engaged, creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing professionally within a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide litigation support to attorneys and legal teams
- Assist with case preparation and organization
- Conduct document and information management
- Support attorneys with research and case-related projects
- Prepare and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Assist with discovery and other litigation-related tasks
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Provide general support to the litigation team as needed
Qualifications
- College graduate with a 2- or 4-year degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Positive, growth-oriented mindset
