Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks litigation associates to join its team in Redwood City, CA. This position involves handling a diverse range of complex commercial litigation matters, including insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation or judicial clerkship experience and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation. Duties Case Management: Handle a variety of complex commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Litigation Support: Assist with discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions. Court Representation: Represent clients in federal and state courts, managing all aspects of pretrial, trial, and appellate proceedings. Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic recommendations. Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and team members to develop effective legal strategies and solutions for complex cases. Requirements Experience:Prior litigation experience is preferred. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus. Knowledge:Familiarity with insurance coverage, bad faith claims, and commercial litigation processes. Skills:Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Attributes:Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive and self-motivated approach to casework. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of California and in good standing. Skills:Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative solutions. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a fast-paced legal environment. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
