QUALITY MANAGER

Quality Manager

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire a dynamic and organized Quality Manager with strong leadership skills to plan, direct, coordinate, review and evaluate a facility wide quality compliance program for assessing, improving and managing quality of care and reducing risk within the facility for the Elizabeth Packard Mental Health Center, located in Springfield, Illinois. We strive to provide equitable access to social/human services, supports, programs and resources to enhance the lives of all who we serve.

Essential Functions:

• Serves as Quality Manager for the Elizabeth Packard Mental Health Center.
• Serves as full-line supervisor.
• Collaborates with the Facility Director and Central Office Administrators to verify the facility meets or exceeds professional/accreditation standards.
• Plans and develops systems or mechanisms for pro-actively improving organizational performance and the quality of care and treatment within the facility.
• Develops information sharing methodology to verify facility executives are fully involved and knowledgeable of the quality management program as it related to their specific area of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college.
• Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a comprehensive quality management program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four (4) years of professional experience working with accreditation and certification bodies such as Joint Commission (JC) or Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
• Four (4) years of professional experience developing, maintaining and managing quality assurance methods and processes by determining objectives, setting specifications and assessing results.
• Four (4) years of professional experience in a public or private organization maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
• Four (4) years of professional experience performing quality assurance assessments.
• Four (4) years of professional supervisory experience, including assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff and approving time off.
