BookkeeperSparks Group has teamed with several prominent and successful companies in the Metro DC area to identify bookkeepers for contract, contract-to-hire and direct hire opportunities.Responsibilities:Balance and maintain accurate ledgers by reconciling entriesCoordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to managementMonitor office expenses; tally and enter cash receiptsPay vendor invoices and track bank account balancesDevelop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheetsPrepare quarterly and monthly tax returns along with payroll, operating and business taxesPrepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account info and trendsOther duties as assignedQualifications/Background Profile:Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of bookkeeping experience; 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree may be acceptableProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically advanced Excel and other large ERP systemsStrong understanding of general accounting principlesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAccurate, detail-oriented and well-organizedThis job is In-Person.We offer several comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, paid and unpaid time off, and retirement and savings plans to qualifying employees.Sparks Group is an equal opportunity employer.
