Phlebotomy - ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Location: Aventura, FL 33180 Title: ENTRY Phlebotomist I Duration: 6+ Months Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM & Saturday 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM High level of customer service experience and skills are required. The role primarily involves greeting patients at the kiosk and ensuring they feel comfortable while awaiting lab work. The candidate will also fill in for breaks and cover staffing shortages as needed. Job Description The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion. The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company. The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner. The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected. Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills. Job Requirements Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check‑ins in the lobby through either a self‑service kiosk or handheld tablet. Be willing to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered. To perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. High level of customer service experience and skills are required. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED). Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics. Work Experience Minimum 1-2 years of client‑facing customer service required (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.). Some Phlebotomy experience is required. Keyboard/data entry experience a must. Additional Job Details: Candidate must have reliable transportation to the worksite and be available to work whenever scheduled. Punctuality and staying for the entire shift are mandatory. Excessive absenteeism/tardiness will be cause for termination. Please ensure that you are verifying the commute time to/from the physical work location when submitting candidates. Candidates need to be within a 20‑25 minute commute window to ensure travel to/from the site for coverage.
