Role Description The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a remote, contract role responsible for managing and tracking incoming payments related to roofing and restoration projects. This role includes generating and sending invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on overdue accounts in a professional manner. The specialist will review account information, reconcile payments, and work closely with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies. Daily tasks also involve maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports on receivables status, and communicating with customers and insurance partners to ensure timely collection. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to review account data, identify discrepancies, and interpret financial information. Candidates should possess Finance and Invoicing skills to manage billing processes, reconcile payments, and support accurate accounting records. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with customers, insurance representatives, and internal teams in a clear, respectful manner. Candidates should possess Debt Collection skills to follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive relationships. Experience with accounting or ERP software, spreadsheets, and digital recordkeeping tools is beneficial. Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related finance role is preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are important.
