CNC Lathe Setup Technician — GD&T/Inspection FocusDirect-hire | Pomona, CA | $30–$35/hourShift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.Your MissionTransform prints into precision parts. You’ll lead end-to-end CNC lathe setups, validate first articles with meticulous measurement, and fine-tune tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds until the process is rock solid. The work supports aerospace and commercial customers—prior aerospace experience is not required, only a commitment to quality.Impact AreasExecute independent setups on 2–4 axis CNC lathes for first articles and production runs.Decode blueprints and GD&T, verify critical features, and document inspection results.Optimize tooling strategies, troubleshoot issues, and drive stable, efficient cycles.Own in-process inspection using precision hand metrology and advanced gauges.What You BringProven CNC lathe setup experience with minimal supervision.Strong blueprint reading and GD&T fluency.Precision measurement and first-article inspection expertise.Hands-on troubleshooting of tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds.Ability to commute reliably to Pomona for the day shift.Bonus PointsFanuc controls.Live tooling capability.Experience with Y-axis, sub-spindle, or bar feeder work.Background in aerospace or medical components.AS9100 or ISO job-shop experience.Material experience: aluminum, stainless steel, titanium.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical training/certification is a plus).Experience as a CNC lathe operator/machinist with setup responsibility.Knowledge of CNC programming concepts and established setup procedures.Comfort with G-code and M-code.Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.Detail orientation with strong problem-solving instincts.Independent contributor who collaborates well in a fast-paced shop.Commitment to machining safety standards.Technical ProficienciesGD&TCNC ToolingG-CodeM-CodeCNC Machine Setup & ChangeoverPrecision Measurement & Hand MetrologyAdvanced Inspection & Gauge MeasurementMachine Setups for Production RunsTools & Equipment2D DrawingsCNC Lathe (2–4 axis)If you’re driven by tight tolerances and first-pass yield, step into a role where your setups set the standard. #J-18808-Ljbffr AMI PRECISION MACHINING
