Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Akron area

Pay: $25 to $30 per hour - DIRECT HIRE!!

Hours: Day Shift, Monday thru Friday

Position Summary:

PrideStaff is conducting a search for their Akron area client for an experienced Maintenance Technician with wiring and machine set up experience.. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned production machinery, building systems (HVAC), and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on hydraulic and pneumatic machines, electrical or propane lift trucks, and industrial compressors
Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
Prepares reports documenting work performed and maintenance issues found
Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Thorough understanding of machines and tools
Familiarity with 110/208/220/480-volt circuits and wiring
Experience with welding and fabrication
Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints
Familiarity with Slick 500, Idec PLC's, ladder logic
