Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall effectiveness of healthcare delivery by facilitating timely and accurate communication between patients and medical staff.We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Receptionist Call Center 1 at Gastroenterology of Ocean County in Toms River, NJ.Responsibilities:Answer and manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.Provide patients with clear and concise information about medical services, office policies, and procedures.Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws at all times.Document call details, patient inquiries, and appointment information accurately in the call center database.Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve patient issues and improve service delivery.Assist with administrative tasks such as processing patient forms, handling referrals, and managing waitlists.Skills:The required skills such as effective communication and computer proficiency are essential for managing patient interactions and accurately scheduling appointments on a daily basis. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures enables the receptionist to understand patient needs and provide relevant information efficiently.
