Job Title: Events Assistant

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Events Assistant to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This onsite contract opportunity in Philadelphia, PA offers the chance to work directly with families, community members, and internal teams to help deliver impactful support services and educational programming. The position combines case coordination, community engagement, program support, and administrative responsibilities in a collaborative environment. Compensation:
$25-26/hr

Work Schedule:
M-F, 40 hours/week; Monday & Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM; mandatory team event on Saturday, December 12

Key Responsibilities of the Events Assistant:

• Support individuals and families by conducting assessments, developing action plans, and connecting them with appropriate community based services and resources.
• Coordinate and facilitate educational activities, workshops, and developmental programs while helping ensure consistent participant engagement.
• Provide guidance during urgent situations through resource navigation, problem resolution, and referral coordination to address immediate needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, participate in outreach efforts, and represent the organization at community events and meetings.
• Maintain accurate program records, monitor participation data, manage site materials and supplies, and assist with operational and administrative functions.

Qualifications and Skills for the Events Assistant:

• Experience supporting individuals, families, or community members within a social services, nonprofit, education, healthcare, or related environment.
• Ability to conduct assessments, document outcomes, and track participant progress with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated skills in community engagement, resource coordination, and relationship management with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with data entry, record maintenance, and general administrative tasks using standard office technology and software.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving abilities with the flexibility to support evening activities and scheduled weekend events as required.
