Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, assisting with deliveries and ensuring the well-being of both mother and newborn. Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit.

Responsibilities:

• Support laboring moms throughout the delivery process, monitoring fetal and maternal conditions.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
• Operate and interpret fetal monitoring systems to track fetal well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately using computerized systems.
• Manage variable shifts, including day and night, with scheduled call requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Hawaii RN license prior to start; apply immediately upon offer acceptance if not currently licensed.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications; STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are recommended.
• Demonstrate proficiency with GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems and Meditech electronic records.
• Exhibit strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
