Job Description
Critical Care Float Pool RN

Schedule

3x12 night shifts, including minimum weekend coverage every other weekend.

Assignment Details

Assignment includes floating to multiple ICUs within the facility system. All contracts must extend through January 2, 2027.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU/critical care experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Valid state or compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
• Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, central/arterial line management, blood products, ABG interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in various ICU settings.
• Manage ventilated patients and titrate vasoactive drips as necessary.
• Ensure proper management of central and arterial lines.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and administer blood products as ordered.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.

Compliance / Notes

Ohio fingerprinting required immediately after booking; urgent completion expected. References: Two professional references required, with at least one being a manager or director. Current employees of the facility are ineligible for hire as travelers.
