Multi-Site Asset Protection Lead

Pay Range: $60,000-$65,000 annually About the team and position The Safe & Secure Team helps to keep our 20,000+ associates and 200+ locations safe and secure every day. By collaborating with various Carvana teams, the Safe & Secure Team delivers strategic planning, operational risk program development, processes, data analytics, inventory reconciliation and control, learning and awareness program support, and project management. The Area Lead will be part of the Field Safe & Secure Team providing execution of core routines and supporting Market Operations and Logistics partners. The Area Lead will work closely with teams and leaders in an assigned geographical area supporting the safety of our people and protection of assets. The Area Lead will execute key tactics defined within the Safe & Secure/Market Operations Partnership Guide focusing on safety, physical security, environmental support, fraud resolution and other processes. This position is field‑based, reports directly to the Area Manager, and requires frequent on‑site support in high‑risk locations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, communication, quantitative rigor, and ability to exercise independent judgment while working collaboratively with Carvana’s varied operational functions. What you’ll be doing Travel between sites in the assigned geographical area according to risk level and on‑site support needed. Availability to work non‑standard hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs. Help troubleshoot scanning and inventory control concerns at all assigned locations. Lead efforts to track and reduce unit loss due to missing units, forcible removals, or fraud‑related activity. Execute the Incident Management Program, focusing on sustainable awareness and effective preparedness. Partner with the Inventory Control team to support efforts related to the identification and tracking of units taken “off lot.” Execute fraud mitigation efforts to support overall unit loss reduction. Champion a culture of safety by initiating incident‑reduction initiatives and leading EH&S and Safety compliance programs. Directly lead processes related to the Safe & Secure Technology supporting the site. Ensure all “Aclaimant” incidents are recorded and system information is accurate and actionable. Utilize data to assess the Safe & Secure business and report key wins and opportunities. Foster open and productive working relationships with other departments. Exercise discretion regarding confidential personnel information. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Metrics Unit Loss tracking EH&S Training completion percentage Inventory Scanning percentage and scan frequency tracking Inventory reconciliation with Inventory Control Team After‑incident Safety review completion and improvement recommendations Safety incident reduction and root‑cause analysis Hauler safety observation completion Fraud unit reduction Improvement of Driver Safety Scores What you should know/have High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of Security/Asset Protection experience. Minimum 1 year of multi‑site leadership experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and data‑driven skill set. Experience implementing Risk Mitigation programs to improve profitability. Experience working closely with diverse stakeholders in a rapid growth environment. Experience investigating and resolving theft and fraud issues. Ability to develop and implement process improvements. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Crisis Management/Incident Response experience. Must promote company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and partners. Knowledge of Google and Microsoft systems. Valid driver's license and insurable DMV required. Must live within assigned area and be able to work from a Carvana location. Domestic travel required – 60‑75%; English language proficiency. We’d love it if you also have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Crisis Management Leadership experience. Experience leading OSHA Program implementation within a distribution, warehousing, and fulfillment environment. OSHA 10 Hour Training Certification preferred.
