Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students in an engaging school environment near Hugo, CO! A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide coverage for a maternity leave, with the assignment running from September 8th through the end of November. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives, working closely with a predominantly elementary caseload as well as supporting a few students with significant developmental needs.

Utilize your expertise to foster growth, promote independence, and empower students during this impactful assignment. The schedule involves four days per week working within the district and one day supporting students outside the district, allowing you to experience a variety of educational settings and collaborate with diverse teams.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in Colorado
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Ability to assess and develop individualized treatment plans
• Familiarity with supporting students with developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and staff
• Commitment to maintaining thorough documentation of services and student progress

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and provide therapy services to elementary-aged students
• Design and implement individualized interventions
• Monitor, document, and report student progress
• Consult and collaborate with teachers and support staff
• Occasionally serve students with severe developmental needs
• Adapt activities and environment to facilitate students’ participation
• Participate in IEP meetings as required
