Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) TOWSON, MD. This role involves providing specialized critical care to postoperative cardiac surgery patients, including those undergoing CABG, MVR, AVR, and structural heart procedures. The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience and offers the opportunity to work night shifts in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Maryland RN license or active Compact license, BLS certification, CPI certification, ACLS certification, at least 2 years of ICU experience, and experience charting in Epic
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS certification, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the ICU units as needed
• Additional Information: The RN will care for adult and geriatric postoperative cardiac patients, managing multiple inotropic medications, hemodynamic instability, ECMO, CRRT, and open-chest patients. The position involves acute management of complex cardiac cases, including TAVR, Mitral Clip, STEMI/NSTEMI, and cardiogenic shock. Patient ratios are 1:2, with a daily census of 3-5 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
