Product Development Manager, Home Textiles

Job Description

Sam Salem & Son has been designing home textiles in New York since 1944. We create branded and private-label bedding, bath, and home products for major retailers worldwide. We're looking for a Product Development Manager with a creative eye to join us. This is a full-time, on-site role at our NYC Fifth Avenue offices.

What you'll do

\n
• Develop product from concept to production: costing, factories, samples, approvals
\n
• Create product and packaging concepts that feel high-end and work at our customers' price points
\n
• Manage pre-production and production samples and keep development on schedule
\n
• Help present new products in line reviews and buyer meetings
\n
• Travel to our showrooms and factories around the world
\n

Who you are

\n
• 5+ years developing home textiles at an importer, a brand, or a retailer
\n
• Great taste and a strong sense of what things cost
\n
• Experienced with factories, sampling, and deadlines
\n
• You love to travel, and you're ready to do it regularly
\n
• Creative, organized, and excited to run your own projects
\n
