Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
A distinguished healthcare system is seeking a Section Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology to lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional respiratory care for children. This full-time leadership role offers an opportunity to shape the future of the department, oversee clinical operations, and mentor the next generation of pediatric pulmonologists.
Position Overview:
The Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic vision for the division while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This position will oversee daily clinical, operational, and administrative activities, including provider staffing, program development, and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, program expansion, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the pediatric pulmonology department
- Oversee clinical operations, physician staffing, and team management
- Develop and implement policies and protocols to enhance patient care
- Lead program growth initiatives, including expanding clinical services and outreach programs
- Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and clinical staff
- Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
- Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to drive innovation and efficiency
- Recruit and retain top-tier clinical talent to enhance the department's capabilities

Qualifications:
- MD or DO with Board Certification in Pediatric Pulmonology
- Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in pediatric pulmonology
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a hospital or academic setting
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship
- Eligible for medical licensure in the applicable state
- Demonstrated ability to drive department growth, innovation, and quality improvements
