Speech-Language Pathologist

Schedule
1.0 FTE; exact shift details depend on scheduling needs. Pediatric clinic is open 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements
- AK License required at time of submittal
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- CCC-SLP certification
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Pediatric and outpatient experience required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and evaluation of patients to establish therapy diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Implement and modify therapy plans based on patient responses to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately.
- Educate patients and families on therapy procedures and provide home exercise programs for independent care.
- Participate in community service programs and home assessments, ensuring that therapy plans are implemented effectively in various settings.
- Stay current with professional development and adhere to appropriate regulatory and practice standards.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine required.
- This position is covered by the Indian Child Protection Act.
- Services may be provided in various settings, including in-patient, out-patient, home visits, and community events.
- Exposure to potential hazards such as infectious organisms is possible; proper precautions must be taken.
