Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

Pain Management Advanced PractitionerThis role involves inpatient rounding and pain consult coverage in acute settings at local hospitals in Tampa, Florida. The provider will work both independently and collaboratively with physicians, hospital staff, and interdisciplinary teams to manage patients' acute pain needs and overall treatment plans.Key Responsibilities:Perform rounding on inpatient consults for pain managementConduct comprehensive patient assessments, evaluations, and documentationManage and adjust pain control regimens under the guidance of the attending physicianRespond to consult requests, follow-ups, and urgent pain-related issuesCollaborate with hospital staff, nursing, and other specialties to coordinate careMaintain detailed and accurate medical records within the EMREnsure timely communication and hand-off reporting between care teamsManage an average daily census of 25–30 patientsOrder appropriate diagnostic tests and accurately interpret resultsOrder pain management interventions independently following training completionPrepare prescription orders for controlled and non-controlled medicationsCommunicate and coordinate care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary medical teamsTriage patient, facility, and pharmacy calls/texts as neededServe as a clinical resource for collaborating medical teamsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives that support organizational growthEnsure compliance with all regulatory boards and agenciesSchedule:Variable shift schedules available, including:7-on / 7-off rotation.Work Location: Local hospitals in Tampa, Florida
