Public Relations Specialist

Our client, a growing integrated communications and marketing agency, is seeking an experienced Public Relations Account Manager to lead client programs, drive media relations efforts, and provide strategic communications counsel across a diverse portfolio of accounts. This role is ideal for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building client relationships, and has a proven track record of delivering impactful earned media and integrated marketing campaigns. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days a week in office expected. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact. Develop and execute proactive and reactive communications strategies aligned with client business objectives. Support clients across a variety of industries, gaining a deep understanding of their products, services, competitive landscape, and key audiences. Create high-quality written content including press releases, media pitches, fact sheets, presentations, executive communications, and other marketing materials. Drive media relations initiatives and secure earned media coverage across national, regional, local, trade, consumer, healthcare, business, and lifestyle outlets. Lead client meetings, status calls, and strategic planning discussions while ensuring projects remain on track and within scope. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, digital, social media, and strategy professionals to deliver integrated communications campaigns. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service standards. Support social media and digital communications initiatives as part of broader integrated marketing efforts. Develop reporting and measurement frameworks to demonstrate campaign performance and business impact. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 3+ years of public relations, communications, or agency experience. Demonstrated success securing earned media placements and managing media relationships. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Experience developing and implementing strategic communications programs. Strong project management and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to think strategically while executing tactically. Experience leading client relationships and presenting recommendations to key stakeholders. Knowledge of social media and integrated marketing best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex communications challenges. Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across teams and mentor junior staff.
