The Registered Dietitian will deliver clinical nutrition services and develop dietary plans under the guidance of the Director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services.

This role is available as a Per Diem position, which can be performed on-site, in a hybrid format, or entirely virtually.

Compensation: $31.73 - $47.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

• Deliver clinical nutrition and meal planning aligned with the organization's philosophy and objectives.
• Conduct nutrition assessments for all patients, ensuring thorough documentation of findings using appropriate clinical language.
• Facilitate both individual and group nutrition therapy sessions.
• Develop meal plans and guides, collaborating with patients towards nutritional rehabilitation.
• Engage in treatment team discussions and assist with discharge planning.
• Provide effective nutrition education to patients and their families.
• Maintain ongoing communication regarding treatment progress and care plans with patients, families, treatment teams, and other involved parties.
• Oversee meal times, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, offering coaching to clients as necessary.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.

Experience:

• Preferred experience in providing direct nutritional care within an Eating Disorder Service and Mental Health setting.
• Required experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare environment.

Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed Dietitian in the state of Massachusetts.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• CPR Certification.

Knowledge:

• Medical nutrition therapy.
• Motivational interviewing techniques.
• Nutrition care processes.
• Nutrition counseling methods.
• Group education strategies.

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize tasks independently.
• Adept at multitasking in a dynamic and fast-paced mental health environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.

Supervision Received:

• Monthly group supervision with Registered Dietitians and individual supervision with the nutrition services coordinator and senior nutrition consultant.
