Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatment for an average of seven patients daily, creating customized treatment plans based on initial assessments.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve patient mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Emphasize effective communication by keeping patients and their families informed about treatment goals, progress and any necessary modifications.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient care strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to remain knowledgeable about advancements in physical therapy practices and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility serves a diverse clientele, including older adults recovering from surgery, patients with chronic illnesses, and individuals recovering from injuries. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• New York State Physical Therapist License is required to practice.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within rehabilitation or skilled nursing environments.

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly desirable.
