Quality Assurance Inspector - 2nd Shift

divh2QA Inspector/h2pThe QA Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections on manufactured assembled parts. Receiving inspections on vendor parts as well as conducting First Article Inspections is a core responsibility for this role. The QA Inspector proactively supports all aspects of Safety, Quality and Productivity./ppShift: 2nd Shift/ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliMust be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch./liliMust be able to follow verbal instructions, written and pictorial instructions./liliNavigates and utilizes SAP to perform essential duties./liliReads and interprets product drawings to perform inspections./liliApproves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections/liliApproved in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections/liliApproves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections./liliDocuments inspections results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste./liliControls and maintains personal inspection equipment to ensure proper use and calibration./liliMaintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements./liliExpected to seek and improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications./liliMonitors Change Requests/ECNs and related documentation affecting the standards and specifications of product and verifies application to identified products./liliCommunicates required adjustments with appropriate departments to resolve documentation, hardware and assembly nonconformance issues./liliAssists ISO Program Coordinator/liliParticipates in 5S and Continual Improvement efforts./liliDemonstrates safe behaviors and promotes a safe working environment./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and metric equivalents./liliAbility to read a tape measurem calipers, etc./liliAbility to apply sound judgement to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form./liliGood interpersonal communication skills/liliDecision making skills/liliAble to access navigate, enter and extract information from SAP, Intranet and Sharepoint./liliClear and consistent handwriting/liliBasic computer skills: Microsoft office, Word, Excel and Outlook./li/ulpEducation/Experience:/pulliMinimum of (5) years related manufacturing experience./liliExperience in the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Field./liliHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education experience./li/ulpAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check./p/div
