We are excited to maintain an interactive, in-person environment where every voice is heard and everyone thrives.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an HR Generalist, you will support day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, seamless employee experiences, and effective departmental administration.Day-to-Day HR Operations: Provide timely advice and assistance regarding employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, development, and employment laws.Compliance & Policy: Partner with local and corporate departments to resolve HR policy issues. Ensure all operational practices strictly comply with state and federal employment laws.Compensation & Benefits Support: Assist employees with health and financial well-being inquiries, maintain accurate benefit selections, and provide timely documentation.Onboarding & Talent Acquisition: Assist with candidate screening, recruitment strategies, and continuously improve the new hire onboarding experience.Data & Documentation: Maintain accurate HR records. Prepare and distribute headcount, termination, and staffing reports, and ensure all payroll activity is submitted accurately and on time.Skills & QualificationsEducation & CertificationsDegree: BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field (Preferred).Certification: PHR or SPHR certification (Preferred).Experience & Tech SkillsExperience: Minimum of 3 years of HR experience (Preferred); experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly desired.Core Knowledge: Hands-on experience with HRIS, compensation structure, benefits administration, and payroll processing.Technical Fluency: Proficiency with prevailing HR technologies (e.g., Kronos, Taleo, PeopleSoft, Cypress, and Employment Screening Services).Core CompetenciesIntegrity: Absolute commitment to ethical decision-making and handling highly confidential information.Organization: Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary RangesCompensation is determined by several factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and localized market data.LocationAnnual Salary RangeHerndon, VA$89,694 – $110,592 (Includes regional supplement)Note: The ranges listed above do not include our discretionary bonus or equity packages.Total Rewards & PerksHealth & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision programs.Retirement: 401(k) plan with a competitive company match and contribution.Time Off: Paid vacation, personal floating days, and paid holidays.Growth: Robust internal training and career development programs to help you reach your professional goals.Safety First: Industry-leading health and safety standards to protect all employees on site.Equal Opportunity EmployerVulcan Materials Company is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
